Bonus Bucks

What is Bonus Bucks?

For the benefit of our new scout parents (and a refresher for the rest of you), Bonus Bucks is Troop 309’s gift certificate fundraising program.  Here’s how the program works:
You place an order to purchase gift certificates from Troop 309.  The gift certificates encompass a variety of different vendors, including Dominick’s, Jewel, most gas stations, Home Depot, Barnes & Noble, Kohls, TGI Fridays, Starbucks, Panera and many other companies you shop every day.  See vendor list online at using link below.
Troop 309 purchases the gift certificates at a discount ranging from 2% to 20+% depending on the vendor.  We share the 50% of the discount with the scout family by putting the money in the scout’s Scout Account.
The funds in your son’s scout account can be used to reimburse you for any scouting related expense.  You can use the funds to pay for summer camp, scout dues, uniforms, and camping equipment.  Just provide us with a receipt.
It takes a little bit of planning to purchase gift certificates in advance, but once you get in the habit of purchasing and paying with Bonus Bucks, your son’s scout account will grow and will allow you to defray some of the costs of scouting.
Bonus Bucks make great gifts. They spend like cash and let the recipient pick exactly what they want … and they help the Troop.
