Scouting fills a very important aspect of a boy’s life. It teaches a young boy skills and life lessons that aren’t taught in school. Here in Troop 309 a scout learns very important skills in order to advance in rank within the troop. Such skills as knot tying, first aid, knife and fire safety, and camping skills are learned through scouting.

Camping is our primary focus, and we have monthly campouts or outings year round. On our campouts we’ve gone rock climbing, caving, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing, skiing, shelter building, and more.
